Rest and Relaxation or being pampered is often thought of as a luxury, but they are essential for your health and vitality. Holistic Massage offers you the space to:’ unplug and relax’, have that quiet time to switch off from thinking…how sore is this, how tight is that, I need to do this at work, that at home etc… at Functional Therapy we help create ‘that space’ for you to do just that, relax, recover and catch back up with yourself.

  • Initial Session

    When you arrive you will be asked to fill in a consultation form. Here we will ask for information on what it is that you are looking to gain from your treatment, past and present injuries and operations, any medication you are taking as well as other details such as allergies.

  • Your Massage

    There is no set routine to a Holistic Massage as your treatment will be taylor made to suit your requirements using a variety of massage techniques. For example, if you are a desk bound worker we may want to concentrate mainly on the chest, neck and shoulder area and the hip flexors. Either way you will leave feeling a lot better and more relaxed.

  • Some Advice

    After your massage you may feel sleepy and just want to chill out or you may feel lighter and more relaxed. Either way use this opportunity to take time to listen to your body. We advice that you keep your fluid intake up, do not head straight back into the gym or go on a long run, instead allow the work that has been done to really get in your system and give your body the space it needs to heal itself.

  • How Long do I need to book in for?

    Our first initial treatment will be for 1hour but please allow 1hr 15mins so that we have time to go through your consultation as describe above. After your first initial treatment we can then look at a treatment plan that best suits you and these can times can range from 30mins, 60mins or 90mins.
